OH OH BOHOBO

Good day Thursday! If you guys didn't know this yet, Aya and I met in class as we were both taking our major subjects in Literature for the first time, more than a year ago.

Back then Aya and I were a bit more intact with our "bohemian" selves. Although I always was a bit more boho and Aya always had a bit of rock and roll in her nonetheless we were both bohemian babies ready for the sixties.

I guess the reason why a year ago I wore anything floor length from Maxi skirts to dresses(of which some I scored from my mother's closet real veeentaaaageee), was that it made me comfortable moving around. Everything was fuss free and you didn't have to think much about what you're going to wear because basically your peg was a carefree woman. Carefree equating to wearing very laid back pieces. I was so at ease with the look of a homeless person at the beach (boho beach bum)at the same time my style need not suffer. It took me no time to be ready for school and it was all too convenient as I had a lot to handle during the first terms of my Lit major life.

I think if you let anyone wear a long piece of clothing it will give that person the credit of looking effortlessly chic. Just pile on bangles (heavily, as I do) and you're good to go. Accessorizing is a must for this look so you won't go overboard looking like a homeless person or an extremely lazy one that you might end up looking like you just got out of bed, and in a bad way.

Recently Aya and I have been wearing more "polished" things. A bit of collared tops here and there and androgyny is also along the line. We've also opened up to street wear recently because we're planning on learning how to skate, wish us luck okay.

Anyway so today I reincarnated my boho self and I must say I missed it terribly! This outfit is one of the comfiest I have worn forever the kind that I would be able to sleep in (next to this would be my sleep wear as outer wear, which I shall enlighten you guys with, soon!)
A grey maxi shirt dress(WAGW) is all you need to feel the love! Although Love does not equal to warmth so I brought my Denim Jacket(topshop) in case I end up in cold places! Trust me if you stay long enough in Starbucks or Henry Sy(Library) you'll find an extra layer of clothing handy!

Instead of the usual thong sandals/gladiators I opted for my trusty all black champion sneakers from Keds to make me look more industrial plus its easier for me to run in these! (Aya noted that it's her rcok and roll edge I am harnessing)

In love with my light weight canvas bags from Muji and Cotton On which can pack a lot of stuff so don't you underestimate em! The ones from Cotton On says that it's part of their foundation and apparently the people from Mannya and Busibo in Uganda, East Africa are supported by this project. Both bags go for 120++ not more than 130 pesos, real cheap. I think I shall hoard these!
Keeping my resolution for the year, support local!

My recent pin from Kedeng Stickers fits my new canvas bag perfectly! Also spot my new favorite bangle with the Elephant print (by the way Elephant is Deng's animal) which I got on sale 50 off from forever 21 when I visited their store in Cebu. The thin bangle on the left is from a Mangyan tribe from up north my Mum brought hope during one of her trips I think around 5 years ago. I remember she got them for 20 pesos or something like that, really cheap! for something hand woven.

I have to say I really feel like myself the most in this kind of style a nobo no brainer kind for me.

                    x,
