Anthem

Hello everyone,

We are currently down to our so called "hell week" where we are suppose to submit thousand word essays and what not.. as of the moment we have been just gearing up for this so called week to survive (hence food trips and energy drinks) another thing to get us by is of course eargasmic tunes so for today we are sharing our week's "anthem"...

Arabella's Beat

Goodbye live with Toki Asako

Saw my friend post a link on youtube and as soon as I played it I just had the feels. Like falling from the tenth floor of a building and then rising back up again, 5 times. Ugh, I can't believe I was too snobby because I've heard so much about them when they went here earlier this year, I guess I missed my chance watching them live. Anyway I am positive I will be able to see them in the future. Downloaded three of their albums already but this song just stuck to me. This is perfect for everything, morning coffee, afternoon tea, for your dead tired brain at 10 pm and late night shower at 3am and of course the best song to listen to until you fall asleep.

Aya's Tune

Growing Old Is Getting Old - Silversun Pickups

If you do not know this band well, get to know them. They are one of the few bands that actually give me goosebumps. Contrary to popular belief not all my favorite songs are for headbanging. The first time I heard this, I was on the bus on the way to school and it was a sunny Thursday morning. I literally shut my eyes and let the sun melt my face. It was perfect. Here's to hoping you have or will have moments like that.

So I guess it's back to school work, yeah? Pssshh....

With headphones hot glued on,

ReaderCon 2012

Last last last Saturday...

(and did we say Last?)

...our literature organization, Literature Circle, was invited to host a book discussion at ReaderCon 2012 in Filipinas Heritage Library. Although we didn't exactly read the book Smaller and Smaller Circles by F.H. Batacan (meaning not at all), we still learned a lot from hearing new insights from complete strangers. Not to mention it was fun hearing what their M.O.'s would be if they were serial killers...we now have references for future investigative use.

After our event, we stayed a bit to hear the Fifty Shades of Grey discussion. We left after 10 minutes. Let's just say mommy porn wasn't our thing, also if you want the real thing some Anne Rice will do you good!

Tally ho to Greenbelt!
That awkward distance...
Take all the braceletssss!

sorry for the lack of posts but we promise we'll make it up to you on our pseudo three day term break!

XX,
Aya and Arabella
