One Saturday on a February, a shark/raccoon decided to clean her room at her mum's house. The need was beginning to surface as her "boho" inner being is apparently showing itself in her own room. Meaning, her room was being "makalat" (messy) in all levels. YUP the raccoon is a hoarder translate into Filipino, basurera queen.
After a day of reorganizing and throwing out old things of no use i.e. daunting prom pictures(ehem), bottle caps, clothes , tags from clothes, old makeup, random posters......etc...came the generous reward for the raccoon, this all being done in daylight.
Today was not so bad as I was able to see all the stuff I have gathered in a year (I actually just moved in this house a year ago) and I guess I need to do this at least every 6 months just so I can keep track of the things I use. Constant change dare I say.
BUT THE BEST PART OF MY CLEANING DAY WAS.....
mAAnic mondays'
new headquarters!!!
Some of the essentials and our moodwall! |
My mom over the week called me and asked me to fix my room when I get home over the weekend(thus the emergency spring cleaning). My messy tables for my crafty wafty things were starting to eat my whole room. "KALAT IN ALL LEVELS!". I asked her if I can transfer the so-called makeshift work station in our attic and gladly she said yes.
HOORAY! JUST ADD ANOTHER CHAIR FOR WHEN AYA COMES OVER. ENOUGH DESK SPACE FOR US TWO! |
window looking out into the wilderness |
One of the perks of having to move in the new headquarters is that we get a great meek view from the window. Warm sunset skies over that forest looking strip of land(or moonlit land for the raccoon on a full moon)! In case we get too tired we'll seize a bit of inspiration from this tiny opening.
Really happy with our new home. Can't wait for the next sleepover and notepad making sesh! So did any of you actually end up cleaning your rooms also? what things did you guys unearth?
